Hello everyone, it sure has been a while! I apologize for the lengthy silences on the socials and, especially, this blog — I’ve just been so dialled into getting my world better oriented around my music, so that I am more able to perform, share my work, and really put the music out there, in the near future. It hasn’t been easy trying to find the right balance between being able to focus and prioritize my music life with paying the bills and leading a functional adult existence. It’s actually been really hard for pretty much any independent musician, given today’s music industry, but I’m determined to at least try — and to adapt as much as possible. I think I can muster enough energy to keep things interesting.

So much has changed since I first adopted the singer-songwriter moniker Darling Cora in 2014. Back then I wouldn’t be caught dead without my Gibson electric, or my vocal Jeff Buckley-isms and generalized rocker angst. But alas, I’ve grown up a bit and into other musical directions. These days, I am obsessed with my Furch steel-string, and am keen to find my own voice, both on the guitar and with my songs.

Plenty of things have been going on behind the scenes, and I am pleased to announce that music from my upcoming album is on its way — finally :) Recording was done this past December and January at my producer’s place (see photo), and mastering not too long after. I should start releasing new music within the next few months.

Thank you so much for following me along this journey so far. I hope that positive growth, change, and new things find you and your world as well :) Stay posted for more chapters coming soon! <3 dc
